Is Staging Worth It Before I List My Woodland Hills Home?

Staging is one of the most common questions sellers ask before listing. The best national data point is the National Association of Realtors 2025 Profile of Home Staging, and it comes with real limits.

What the NAR survey found

NAR emailed a random sample of 49,806 active Realtors in February 2025 and received 1,266 usable responses (2.5 percent), with a stated margin of error of plus or minus 2.75 percent at 95 percent confidence. 29 percent of sellers' agents said staging led to a 1 to 10 percent increase in the dollar value offered, and 17 percent of buyers' agents reported a 1 to 5 percent increase. 49 percent of sellers' agents said staging reduced time on market: 30 percent slightly and 19 percent significantly.

Which rooms

Sellers' agents most often staged the living room (91 percent), primary bedroom (83 percent), dining room (69 percent), and kitchen (68 percent). Buyers' agents ranked the living room (37 percent), primary bedroom (34 percent), and kitchen (23 percent) as most important.

What that means in Woodland Hills dollars

Movoto shows a September 2026 median sale price of $1,299,000, 389 sales, and 50 average days on market versus 44 a year earlier. On that price 1 percent is $12,990 and 10 percent is $129,900. That is arithmetic on the survey range, not a prediction. These are agents' estimates from a national survey, not measured Woodland Hills sale data, and no Woodland Hills-specific staging study exists.
